The next time you’re hitting balls at the driving range, hold your follow-through position until the ball lands on the ground.
Your follow-through position can tell you a lot about your swing if you pay attention to the following four keys.
First, do you have trouble keeping your balance after the shot? Secondly, is your follow-through complete? Thirdly, are you facing the target? And finally, is your weight on the balls of your feet or your heels and toes? If you consistently answer no to those questions, swing by Ridgemark Golf and Country and ask for a lesson. We would love to help.
The Drive that Drove You Away
Are you a former golfer that was driven out of the game after continuously hitting a third drive out of bounds on the 18th tee? Was there one shot that caused you to quit the game? What was that shot?
Send me an email about the shot that drove you away and I will write you back and use the answer as a tip for my column. I may also use it as one of the weekly tips for television.
If you promise to give golf another chance, I will give you a free lesson to help conquer that shot our your game. Golf want you back.
Don’t let the pond that swallowed three golf balls and the 7-iron you were using sink your desire to keep playing golf.
Don’t let the bunker that cost you four-extra strokes keep you trapped at home. I am here to help.
The 27 million golfers playing in America can’t be wrong. We miss you. We want our “weekend warriors” back. We are bringing our “dawn patrol” out in full force. We want our seniors to keep swinging.
We want the newly retired to renew their enjoyment of the game. Remember the fun a family has hitting range balls an hour before or after dinner?
Please give me a chance to bring you back. Email me at [email protected].
Hole-in-one for Sargent

Carol Killer, Joan Sarringhaus and Joyce Bourgeois witnessed Sargent’s 131-yard, 7-wood shot.
Time Change
Don’t forget to set your clocks ahead tomorrow night so you aren’t late for your tee time Sunday.
