Here I am again, writing about our community in the news. Since
the new company bought the Hollister Free Lance, Gilroy Dispatch
and Morgan Hill Times, our communities some how have all been
lumped together though we are three, autonomous areas in two
different counties, San Benito and south Santa Clara.

Here I am again, writing about our community in the news. Since the new company bought the Hollister Free Lance, Gilroy Dispatch and Morgan Hill Times, our communities some how have all been lumped together though we are three, autonomous areas in two different counties, San Benito and south Santa Clara.
The new company, with new management and new reporters, doesn’t seem to understand the word “community.”
The Friday Aug. 26 “Community Life” has only one article which mentions San Martin. One article is about Marina in Monterey County, the others are well known people in Los Angeles and New York, airlines around the nation, evangelists in Kentucky, North Carolina, the character of San Francisco, undergrads in northern Arizona, music in Fresno classrooms, boomer shopping in west Nyack, New York, and yes, incidentally one on our very own local CMAP and one on Fremont Peak State Park in San Benito County.
The “Community Life” section should be called “Life across the Nation”!
