Simunivich, an 8-year-old who attends Calaveras School, won the 5-8 age division after qualifying with the fastest time by three seconds.
Last June, Simunovich won the Buffalo Bill’s Grand National championships in Las Vegas after taking second the year before.
Simunivich, unbeaten at the Marina Raceway, moves up to the Jr. 1 Two-Cycle 80cc division in January 2003.
