Editor,

Thanks for the Edward Huston letter on “Intentional Design and Straw Men.” It is an excellent piece of analysis using real world examples. He put the shrieking man-from-molecules camp to shame.

They say ID is bad science and religious. How do they know? Because it hasn’t been peer-reviewed and published in their journals. Why? Because it’s bad science and religious. They run around screaming, “conspiracy!” It’s part of a national plot to take over the political system and destroy all freedom. No supporting examples are given. They say the scheme is being bankrolled by billionaires. No names are given.

Let’s see … grandiose claims galore with no supporting data. That sounds like evolutionism itself. It’s say-so science that won’t be held prisoner to the conventional rules of scientific enterprise.

Everybody who is anybody now knows there is no God. Everybody can see we are here. Therefore we made ourselves, and nothing religious should be taught to biology students. Only Darwin’s “theory” passes the separation of church and state test. Atheism is the only position government can legally sponsor or establish as the basis of teaching any subject. Students are taught about DNA that stores all the information to make, operate and maintain biological machines such as ourselves from conception to old age.

Key questions ID raises include: how does the complex functional information in living things arise? Biology teachers say they are at a loss to answer, for they have not studied theology. They don’t see no stinking information, and all ID questions are out of bounds, religious and illegal for them to attempt to address. They can read this from printed ACLU warnings.

Darwin, a great hoaxer in his youth, would have been so proud how seriously his monkey business is taken in the supposedly informed 21st century.
