Juan Bautista, Calif., died June 14. She was born October 17, 1919
in Kepple Hill, Pennsylvania.
Mildred Marie Barrett, 85, of Cottonwood, AZ and formerly of San Juan Bautista, Calif., died June 14. She was born October 17, 1919 in Kepple Hill, Pennsylvania.
Mrs. Barrett was retired and had worked in several positions. She had been a bank teller, emergency registration clerk and office manager for Barrett Chiropractic.
She retired to Cottonwood from San Juan Bautista, California to be near her family.
An active member of the Grandmother’s Club, she also enjoyed the computer club, the TOPS organization, her Catholic faith and was a genealogy enthusiast.
Her husband of 25 years, Dr. Hugh Barrett, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her son, Richard Barrett of Tulare, California; a daughter Marilyn Mathe of Cornville; five grandchildren, Clifford and Sara Mathe of Cottonwood, Brian Mathe of Modesto, California, Rodney and Jennifer Mathe of Cottonwood, Marshall and Toshia Mathe of Cottonwood and Oskar and Denise Barrett; nine great-grandchildren, Wynona, Colby, Brandon, Taylor, Christopher, Shawna, Recka,Grynin and William Barrett.
A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, June 25 at the San Juan Bautista Mission in San Juan Bautista, California at 9:00am.
Donations in her memory may be made to Northern Arizona Hospice, 269 S. Candy Lane, Cottonwood or to the Arizona Heart Hospital, 1930 E. Thomas Rd., Phoenix 85016.
