Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull – Harrison Ford is taking on his role as Indiana Jones once again. This new movie skips ahead to the cold war, and for anyone who thinks the 65-year-old Ford is going to take it easy, he’s said to see as much action as his young sidekick Mutt Williams (Shia LaBeouf). Action, PG-13.

The Incredible Hulk – Bruce Banner (Edward Norton) is back and this time he needs to use the mutation that transforms him into a rampaging green monster to stop a former soldier who has used the same genetic accident for even more dangerous means. Starring Liv Tyler, Tim Roth and Tim Blake Nelson. Action, PG-13.

Iron Man – A wealthy industrialist (Robert Downey, Jr.) is forced to build an armored suite after a life-threatening happening, so he decides to use it to fight against evil. Also starring Gwyneth Paltrow and Jeff Bridges. Action, PG-13.

Kung Fu Panda – Po the Panda (voiced by Jack Black) needs to save the Valley of Peace from an enemy snow leopard, but he will need to train with Master Shifu (Dustin Hoffman) before he can do it. Other characters voiced by Jackie Chan, Seth Rogen and Angelina Jolie. Animated, PG.

The Love Guru – Pitka (Mike Myers) is an American who was raised by gurus in another country. He returns to the United States to start a self-help business. He soon finds himself helping a hockey player (Justin Timberlake)whose career and love life are on the rocks. Also starring Jessica Alba, with cameos by Deepak Chopra and Rob Blake. Comedy, PG-13.

Sex and the city – The long-awaited “Sex and the City” movie will be released May 30, offering a movie option for those more interested in romance than action. The stars of the HBO hit series all reprise their roles as the sexy independent New Yorkers. Sarah Jessica Parker is back as Carrie Bradshaw. Soon we will know if things finally work out between Carrie and her elusive lover Mr. Big (Chris Noth). Romantic comedy, R.

Shrek the third – Confronted with the possibility of becoming King, Shrek (voiced by Mike Meyers) tries to find a long-lost heir to take his place on the throne. You Don’t Mess with the Zohan – Zohan (Adam Sandler) is a Mossad agent who has never met his match when he decides to leave the world of war to become a hairstylist in New York. His new life is going well when a former enemy discovers him in the Big Apple and blows his cover. Starring John Turturro and Emmanuelle Chriqui. Comedy, PG-13.

10,000 B.C. – This period piece takes on prehistory. A hunter (Steven Strait) sets out on a trek to rescue his love (Camilla Belle). Expect lots of wildlife such as wooly mammoths, saber-toothed tigers and birds. On Blu-ray and DVD.

In Bruges – When two hit men need to lay low, they head to Bruges, Belgium. But the boredom of the tourist town soon turns into a full-out bloodbath. Starring Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson and Ralph Fiennes. On DVD.

Definitely, Maybe – In this movie, Will Hayes (Ryan Reynolds) slowly unfolds the story of his love life to his daughter Maya (Abigail Breslin) during an impending divorce, but doesn’t tell her which of his three loves his her mother. On DVD.

Persepolis – This is a cartoon like no other. Developed from a graphic novel, it tells the coming of age story of a young Iranian girl during the Islamic Revolution. Based on a comic by Marjane Satrapi, it was directed by Satrapi and Vincent Paronnaud. On DVD and Blu-Ray.

The Spiderwick Chronicles – Adapted from a series of children’s books by Tony DiTerllizi and Holly Black, the movie tells the story of twin brothers Jared and Simon Grace (both played by Freddie Highmore) and their older sister Mallory (Sarah Bolger) after their mother moves them to a deserted family home. There are supernatural things happening and the kids soon find themselves under attack by goblins. On DVD and Blu-Ray.

Television series released June 24

Early Edition season one – Gary Hobson (Kyle Chandler) has a unique talent. He can see newspaper headlines the day before they come out. He doesn’t know how, but the early edition hits his doorstep every day. Armed with the knowledge of impeding doom, he races to stop bad things from happening.

The New Adventures of Old Christine season two – The adventures continue with the second season. Christine (Julia Louis-Dreyfuss) continues to balance work, being a mom, friends and her ex-husband with 22 new-to-DVD episodes.
