David Westrick

Incoming Hollister Police Chief David Westrick will be sworn in July 2 at the Veterans Memorial Building.

The ceremony is set for 6 p.m., with doors opening at 5:30 p.m.

Westrick recently served as one of two captains in the department. He and the other one, current Interim Chief Carlos Reynoso, have rotated in the interim chief role since the departure of former Chief Jeff Miller in April 2012.

Westrick joined the HPD in August 2003 as a 35-year-old officer.
