The Aromas Water District Board of Directors is set to meet Tuesday and consider voting on an agreement prepared by Caltrans related to the Highway 101 crossing at San Juan Road.

Hollister City Council members are set to meet Tuesday and will weigh an approval for the agreement with Worldwide Dynamics as manager of a 2013 motorcycle rally.

Hollister Councilman Victor Gomez has somewhere around 10,000 constituents here. This month, he also started looking out for the good of another 100,000 or so residents in San Jose while answering to another elected official there.

The state’s regional water board recently ordered San Juan Bautista to pay $116,000 in fines that have collected over the past three years for continuously exceeding a salt discharge cap in the water system.

Despite a year with half the average rainfall, the San Benito County Water District estimates the current groundwater levels and stored water are sufficient to “accommodate several successive dry years with negative water budgets,” according to the annual groundwater report available on the district’s website.
