Hole near Pat’s Place a cause for concern

A hole near Pat’s Place thrift store became cause for concern when a resident reported tripping in falling in the location.  Marcelo Orta at the Hollister’s Public Works Department said that he received a call from tha citizen about the large sinkhole near Pat’s Place, 101 Fifth St.

Judge rules accused child killer competent for trial

A judge Wednesday ruled for a second time that Cheryl Busch, the San Benito County woman accused of shooting and killing her 19-month-old daughter in 2008, is mentally competent to stand trial.
