Paicines equine rescue center moves to Watonsville
Volunteers with an equine rescue operation are spending this week moving to their new digs in Watsonville, where dozens of abused and abandoned equines will be able to spend their days living the good life while awaiting new homes.

Cam Bentley walked into a Fort Lauderdale record store this dreary afternoon, head nodding to Michael Jackson’s “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough,” streaming from iPod to headphones. She walked past the CDs to the Soul section of the vinyl department – stacks and stacks of LPs stuffed between Alternative and Blues – on an earnest hunt for the same song on wax.

Four French bulldogs hold pet food drive to benefit The Hope Center
Kim Lemaire, Executive Director of the Hope Center along with the all volunteer Board of Directors: Christy Rector, Kim Ruiz and Terri Britton, announced today that four local French Bulldogs are holding their third annual food drive for families and their pets in need on Saturday, June 16th from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Sweet Elena’s located at 465 Olympia Avenue in Sand City.
Volunteers still sought for Sierra search
Volunteers are still asked to help search for Sierra LaMar, 15, and some citizens from halfway across the country vow to travel to Morgan Hill just to help bring closure to the missing teen’s family.
Authorities to enforce daytime curfew during school year
City and county curfews that have required youths to be home before 10 p.m. during the school year are being extended to daytime hours starting Aug. 1 as part of a joint effort between the Hollister Police Department and the county sheriff.
