A shallow magnitude 3.0 earthquake was reported Tuesday afternoon two miles from Pinnacles National Monument, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 5:30 p.m. Pacific time at a depth of 1.9 miles.

Another search-and-rescue effort to find missing 15-year-old Sierra LaMar is scheduled for today, and will include sheriff’s office dive teams searching underwater in South County reservoirs.

Two simultaneous drug awareness presentations held in February at San Benito High School have created a divide of perceptions, with one district trustee in attendance that night calling it a display of racism and questioning why English and Spanish programs conveyed different messages.

Nearly 700 people from the South Bay and South Santa Clara Valley areas, and even a few from outside the state, trekked to Morgan Hill to volunteer their time in the search for missing teen Sierra LaMar, as police announced Tuesday their investigation has ruled out the possibility that she ran away on her own. 

Cami is a 5-year-old long haired Chihuahua who knows how to do tricks, loves to be scratched and is good with other dogs.
