Hollister man sentenced for molesting 19-month-old

Jonathan Fidone, the Hollister man convicted of molesting a 19-month-old child, received a sentence Wednesday of 23 years to life in prison.

Gilroy greenhouse fire causes $1 million in damage

Firefighters from the Gilroy Sunrise Station responded to a greenhouse fire at 8:15 a.m. on the 1900 block of Buena Vista Avenue that harmed an estimated 200,000 orchids and caused roughly $1 million in damage according to Karen Lin, whose parents own the business.

Three Gilroy residents were arrested around 3 a.m. this morning for drug possession when they were allegedly found driving a car so packed with marijuana that the trunk would not close.
