136492~Gambling is a detriment to our moral fabric—The
California Valley Miwok Project Gambling Casino would be a bane and
a blight on San Benito County and its surrounding neighbors:
Monterey, Santa Clara and Santa Cruz counties.
Gary Ramos, project manager for the proposed casino, waxes
obsequious to the San Benito County Board of Supervisors for
adopting a resolution on Dec. 7 (ironically also known as the
notorious Day of Infamy) to review information regarding potential
impacts to the county. Mr. Ramos also attempts to make a case for
important benefits that the proposed gambling casino will offer the
county.
We don’t need a casino in Hollister. It will bring crazy people here and we don’t want that in this town! Hollister is already cool as it is and it will just make it worse if we have a casino. Why spend so much money on making a casino when we have other issues that need to be assembled. There are still roads that need to be fixed, schools need to be given more money and so on so forth. No one wants this town to become a city. We could be the next San Jose which can be scary. Think about this issue more and more before jumping ahead of the game.
