The Unified Narcotic Enforcement Team, the San Benito Sheriff’s Office, the California Highway Patrol and the Gilroy Police Department Anti-Crime team served two narcotic search warrants at the 1200 block of Stone Alley and the 800 block of Fourth Street in Hollister July 19 at 7:15 a.m.
The officers arrested Eli Valencia, 36, on charges of possession of methamphetamine for sale, maintaining a residence for the sale and use of narcotics, possession of marijuana for sale, possession of metal knuckles, four counts of felon in possession of a firearm, four counts of owning or possessing a firearm with a violent prior offense, own or possessing a firearm with the serial numbers altered or removed and possession of a sawed-off shotgun.
Victor Cabrera, 32, was also arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine for sale, possession of cocaine, a narcotic addict in possession of a firearm and maintaining a residence for the sale or use of narcotics.
Items of evidence recovered at the 1200 block of Stone Alley included a shot gun, a sawed off shotgun, a rifle, a semi automatic hand gun, two air soft hand guns that resembled actual firearms, approximately 23 grams (G/W) of methamphetamine, one gram of cocaine, handgun magazines, ammunition, concealment hand gun holsters, approximately three-quarters of a pound of marijuana, digital scales, suspected gang-related items, a police scanner, illegal high capacity magazines, three metal knuckles and three throwing stars.
The methamphetamine has an estimated street value of approximately$1,840-$2,300 dollars. The cocaine has an estimated street value of approximately $80-$100 dollars.
Items of evidence recovered at the 800 block of Fourth Street included approximately six grams of methamphetamine, approximately one gram of cocaine, a 9mm handgun, three ski masks, gloves, surveillance video and a digital police scanner.
The methamphetamine has an estimated street value of approximately $480-$600 dollars. The cocaine has an estimated street value of approximately $80-$100 dollars.
