Pop Warner signups
Signups for Hollister Pop Warner are by mail this year. Each
applicant must submit a registration form and $50 deposit along
with other required paperwork. The fees for this year are $175 for
football and $125 for cheer.
Registration forms, which contain all pertinent information, can
be downloaded at www.eteamz.com/HollisterPopWarner/ or picked up at
the San Benito Chamber of Commerce on 650 San Benito St. or the
Hollister Recreation Division on 300 West St. Signups are completed
on a first-come, first-serve basis. Some teams fill up quickly, so
get your paperwork in early.

Babe Ruth signups
The San Benito Babe Ruth signups will be held Tuesday at Straw Hat Pizza from 6-8 p.m. Fees for the 2004 season are $165 per child and $145 for each additional child. Details: Call Cindy Jordan at 630-1986 or go to eteamz.com/sanbenitobaberuth.
Basketball tournament
North American Youth Sports will be holding its annual spring youth basketball tournament in Oakland at the Alameda High School from March 26-28.
The tournament will feature 10 different brackets for kids grades 5-12. All grades are based on the grade in which a student is currently enrolled.
The entry fee for the tournament is $120 and guarantees each team a minimum of two games. There will be awards presented in each bracket. The entry deadline is March 5. Details: Call the NAYS hotline at 800-787-3265 or Ed Ruiz at 510-532-7301.
National pro-am tickets
Tickets for the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am are available on the Web site for the first time. Tickets for the 2004 Tournament, scheduled for the week of Feb. 2-8 at Spyglass Hill Golf Course, Poppy Hills and Pebble Beach Golf Links, are now on sale. The highly successful summer renewal program for returning tournament patrons has generated record pre-season tickets sales. Ticket prices are $40 per day in advance and $50 at the gate for the tournament rounds, Thursday-Sunday. Each practice round ticket is valid for three days, Monday through Wednesday, and may be purchased for $40 in advance and $50 at the gate. Details: Call (800) 541-9091.
Basketball camp
Applications are now being evaluated for the Ten-Star All-Star Summer Basketball Camp. The camp is by invitation only. Boys and girls ages 10-19 are eligible to apply. Players from 50 states attended the 2003 camp. Basketball scholarships are possible for players selected to the All-American team. Details: Call (704) 373-0873.
