Eating with the Seasons, a farm-to-table produce business based in Hollister, was recently acquired by Full Circle, an organic produce delivery service and grower.

The merger combines Full Circle’s clientele in Washington, Idaho and Alaska with Eating with the Seasons’ Bay Area membership, with the newly-merged enterprise totaling 17,000.

The acquisition represents Full Circle’s first expansion into California, the nation’s largest consumer market. Current Eating with the Seasons members and Bay Area consumers can expect expanded options and service, including home delivery and a greater variety of organic produce and artisanal products.

“Full Circle is thrilled to be teaming up with Eating with the Seasons, an organization we have held in high regard for some time,” said Andrew Stout, founder and CEO of Full Circle. “Becky Herbert and her team have done a fantastic job of building on the legacy of the Herbert Family Organic Farm (in Hollister). Members are passionate about Eating with the Seasons and we understand why. We look forward to building upon their success and helping bring more healthy, organic and sustainably-sourced food to more people, while supporting local farms in Northern California.”

Eating with the Seasons is expected to benefit from Full Circle’s established operations, technology and growing network of organic produce growers and artisanal producers.

“Being the fifth generation of the Herbert family committed to sustainable farming, it is a dream come true to see Eating with the Seasons move to the next level,” said Eating with the Seasons founder Becky Herbert. “We’re both highly aligned on our mission to change the food system for the better and more directly connect our members with the food they love and where it comes from.”

Eating with the Seasons, which started in 2006, provides organic local produce delivery throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Herbert founded Eating with the Season after spending four years helping her father, Pat, build a successful Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program from the family farm in Hollister. Eating with the Seasons now works with a community of local farmers to bring a variety of fruits and vegetables to members year-round. For more information visit: www.eatwiththeseasons.com.
