Women’s Club announces art contest winners

The Women’s Club of Hollister’s Student Art Contest offered a chance for artists in many grade levels to show off their talent. The local 98-year-old club promotes art at the school level by hosting a student art show every year. Advertised in newspapers and at county schools, the art show had entries from all grade levels this year.

The Women’s Club also had two group entries, one from the Si, Se Puede! Learning Center, at Villa Luna and another from Ms. Parsons’ Special Ed. Class at Ladd Lane School. A special thank you goes out to local art teachers, Ms. April Santiago at Marguerite Maze, Ms. Mary Hammond, at Rancho San Justo, and especially the award-winning San Benito High School Art Teacher, Mr. John Robock.

The local art pieces were judged by three local artists – Heatherly Takiuchi, Bernadine McGee and Bob Wilkinson.
