The summit took place at Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital.

San Benito County Public Health hosted an emergency preparedness summit Tuesday at Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital.
Organizations involved serve special-needs populations. The summit stressed the importance of being prepared. There was a panel discussion with representatives from the Hollister Police Department, San Benito County’s American Red Cross chapter, San Benito County Public Health, the San Benito County Sheriff’s Office and Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital. In addition, the San Benito County Office of Emergency Services had a representative give a presentation on the role of the county in disasters and how localities, regions and the state work together to manage an incident.
