Police arrested a 16-year-old San Benito High student accused of making “threats” against the school, according to the Hollister Police Department.
Police released the following statement:
The Hollister Police Department received reports of alleged threats against students at San Benito High School.
Hollister police officers began investigating immediately and after an initial investigation, have made an arrest of a 16-year-old student from the high school.
This appears to be an isolated case and it does not involve any other students.
The Hollister Police Department has been working with the high school to ensure the safety of all the students. Despite the arrest, Hollister police will have extra patrol around the high school tomorrow.
No further information will be released at this time. The investigation is still ongoing.
