DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE:
Brandon De La Cruz, 19, of 864 Powell St. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police for driving under the influence, battery to a police officer, resisting arrest, evading police, all misdemeanors, and possession of methamphetamine, a felony, in the 600 block of Powell Street at 5:19am on Sunday, police said. De La Cruz fled from an officer who attempted to pull him over for throwing a lit cigarette out the window, and after crashing into a fence at Powell and Fifth streets, stopped and tried to flee on foot, police said. De La Cruz pushed the officer in an attempt to escape, but was finally taken into custody after the officer shot him with her Taser stun gun in the buttocks, police said.
Steven Ray Easton, 52, of 1151 Bonnie View Dr. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police for driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, in the 200 block of Fifth Street at 6:56pm on Friday, police said.
POSSESSION OF A DANGEROUS WEAPON;
Kerrigan Dean Logan, 47, of 649 Central Ave. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police for possession of a dangerous weapon, a felony, and possession of 18 grams of marijuana, a misdemeanor, at Locust and Fourth streets at 1:29pm on Sunday, police said. Officers found Logan walking down the street with a 1.5 foot long wooden board with a three pound metal ball covered with metal spikes attached to the end, police said.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE:
Debbie Chacon, 30, of 1071 Steinbeck Dr. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police in the 1000 block of Steinbeck Drive at 2:44am on Saturday for domestic violence, a felony, after she allegedly scratched and bit a man she has a relationship with, police said.
All those named are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
