They will point at me after making a great shot and tell me that they used their pitching or gap wedge instead of the sand wedge like I taught them. Of course, it cost me money.

Now I’m seeing shots from under trees and shots over trees.

Three putts are turning into one putts. All the while, I am paying them at the end of the round. And they are having a blast.

Once they start seeing how certain practice routines pay off for them, they are now practicing with a purpose. The long game is important but also fickle. The short game and trouble shots can really make for a bad day.
