The San Juan Bautista City Council is set to consider whether to donate money to the “Save San Juan Valley” lawsuit against Caltrans’ plans for Highway 156 expansion.

Council members are set to consider donating money to the “Save San Juan Valley” effort against Caltrans’ plans to widen Highway 156. The group has requested funding help from the city, according to the meeting agenda.

The meeting agenda does not list an amount, while City Manager Roger Grimsley could not be reached immediately to disclose if there is a specific dollar value at stake.

The special meeting is set for 6 p.m. Wednesday at San Juan Bautista City Hall.
