Greetings, from Gallup, New Mexico! Brody and I are here for the week while he competes at the National Junior High School Rodeo Finals.

It is really beautiful here but extremely HOT! It’s a different kind of heat out here and when they say to where lots of sunscreen, they mean it! I made the mistake my first day here of forgetting to put sunscreen on my feet and they got so sunburned that they swelled up and I could hardly walk! We’re into day 3 now and they are still a little swollen and sore but they are getting better.

The rodeo here is at the Red Rock State Park and the arena sits in a bowl surrounded by red rocks. It is absolutely beautiful and quite an experience for all the kids here. The kids competing here are the best of the best so the competition is extremely tough. Brody qualified in the bull riding and there are 107 bull riders here from all over the world. There are kids from as far away as New York, Florida, Hawaii, Canada and Australia. Brody had some tough luck on his first bull but he’s going to come back and get his second one rode on Thursday night. All performances are broadcast live on the interenet at ihigh.com. The short go, will be broadcast live on RFD TV on Saturday night at 7:00 PM mountain time. Tune in on Saturday night on RFD TV to see if Brody qualified for the short go. Good Luck Brody!

Since Brody and I are here in Gallup, we had to miss another San Benito Saddle Horse Show and Rodeo. I heard it was another succesful show and congratulations goes out to all those who participated and to those who went home big winners. Get well wishes go out to John Flook who gave everyone a scare when his bronc flipped over on him on Sunday. John suffered a collapsed lung and 8 broken ribs in the mishap. He is out of ICU and on the road to recovery. Get well soon John, we’re all thinking of you and sending well wishes your way.

Have a great week and be sure to give me a call or e-mail me at we********@ao*.com with any news you’d like to share.
