The San Benito 13-year-old Babe Ruth All-Star team wrapped up its season in Clovis with a 11-1 loss to Buchanan on Tuesday.

“If we get by that game, we would have been in good shape,” said manager Rick Czernek. “We felt we could have gone farther. It was the first coin toss loss in both tournaments.”

After being down 2-0, San Benito scored its only run in the third inning.

Russell Czernek hit a double, then Miles Sanchez had and RBI single.

Buchanan scored three runs in the bottom of the fourth inning then six in the sixth inning.

Both Dane Lamanna and Sanchez had a .500 batting average in tournament play. And Czernek batted .484.
