David Patrick
David Patrick, of Morgan Hill, a senior majoring in economics in the College of Science, was chosen to be the 3rd Battalion S3 (Operations and Planning) in the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets for the spring semester 2010.
Junior and senior cadets interview for leadership positions in the spring semester and serve in their assigned position for the fall or spring semester of the following year. Juniors hold non-commissioned officer positions and seniors hold officer positions.
Company commanders lead 50-60 cadets, Battalion commanders lead approximately 250 cadets, and the Regimental Commander leads the entire corps. Patrick is one of approximately 750 cadets in the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets, one of the nation’s six senior military colleges.
