Hollister – A 30-year-old Hollister man who was stabbed during a fight early Sunday morning is in stable condition at a San Jose-area hospital, and police still have no suspects in the attack they believe may be gang related.

The man suffered a one-inch stab wound to the left side of his torso after a fight broke out in the 1000 block of Sherwood Drive, according to police spokesman George Ramirez.

The victim was involved in the fight with numerous other males, some with past or present gang ties, Ramirez said. By the time police arrived at the scene the fight was broken up, he said.

Police are considering the incident an attempted murder and do not know what type of weapon was used.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Detective Tony Lamonica at the Hollister Police Department at 636-4330.
