Jose, and will face off in a home match against No. 5 Priory in
Wednesday’s opening round.

The Anzar girls’ soccer team earned the No. 12 seed in the Central Coast Section Division V Championships on Saturday in San Jose, and will face off in a home match against No. 5 Priory in Wednesday’s opening round.

Kickoff is 2:30 p.m.

Priory went 11-3-4 overall this season.

Wednesday’s winner will advance to Saturday’s quarterfinal round to play against No. 4 Santa Catalina (13-4-1).

The Hawks, meanwhile, compiled a 13-5-1 overall record and were champions of the Coastal Athletic League with an 11-1 mark.

Scotts Valley (13-2-4) earned the top seed in Division V, and as a result receives a first-round bye. No. 2 Live Oak (12-3-5) and No. 3 Sacred Heart Prep (13-4-3) receive first-round byes as well.

Other Division V matchups include No. 11 Pacific Grove (13-3-2) against No. 6 Harbor (12-5-1); No. 10 Capuchino (17-3-2) against No. 7 Soquel (12-4-2); and No. 9 Menlo (5-4-9) against No. 8 Valley Christian (9-5-5).
