afternoon.

Hakima Hossainzadeh and Brianna Miltimore each scored three goals, Sydnee Masuen added a pair of assists, and the Anzar girls’ soccer team defeated visiting Trinity Christian 9-0 on Wednesday afternoon.

The Hawks led by just a 3-0 margin at halftime before punching in six more goals in the final 40 minutes of regulation.

Brianna McCain, Monica Medina and Jessica Stofer each added a goal for Anzar, which is now 9-1 in Coastal Athletic League play, 11-5-1 overall.

Lauren Bellone, Alex Flores, Marissa Carapinha, Miltimore and Stofer also had one assist apiece in the win.

Anzar will now square off against Gonzales (8-2 CAL, 11-6-1) on Friday, with the winner earning the inside edge toward the league crown. Kickoff is 4 p.m. in Gonzales.
