Trujillo deposited goals in the 22nd and 24th minutes to push the Balers ahead by a 2-0 margin at halftime. Both goals were assisted by midfielder Sara Yamasaki.
In the second half, defender Kaitlyn Fontaine went from the back to the front before punching in an insurance goal from roughly 25 yards out in the 44th minute.
“After that, it was shot after shot after shot,” said San Benito head coach Ben Alvarez, who played many of his reserves in the second half.
Notre Dame was limited to one shot on net in the game. The Spirits fall to 0-10 in the TCAL, 1-16 overall.
Meanwhile, San Benito, which lost its first game of the season on Tuesday at Gilroy, improves to 8-1-1 in the TCAL and 12-1-5 overall.
The Balers are on the road for the remaining two games of the regular season. On Wednesday, they’ll visit Alisal, and will travel to Everett Alvarez on Friday. Both games are slated for 5:15 p.m.
