San Benito's Alexandria Osborn tries to control the ball deep in Baler teritory Monday afternoon against North Salinas.

In the league opener, the girls soccer team won its third straight game Monday, beating North Salinas 4-1.
In the win, San Benito fired 16 shots on the Vikings’ goal, scoring twice in each half. The Balers went into halftime with a 2-0 lead, and continued to put pressure on the Vikings.
The Balers eventually led 4-0 before North Salinas scored a last-minute goal in the second half.
Kristen Callanta opened the scoring for San Benito in the opening moments of the game. Later in the first half, Hildelisa Lopez added to the Baler lead.
Karly Leon and Chace Miguel added goals in the second half to open up the game.
The victory improves the Balers’ record to 4-3-2.
San Benito travels to Salinas High on Wednesday to continue its league schedule. The game starts at 5:15 p.m.
