SALINAS

The San Benito boys soccer team’s scheduled game against Everett Alvarez in Salinas on Tuesday was postponed due to the wet weather.

The two teams were slated to kick-off at 5 p.m., following the junior varsity game. But immediately after the JV game concluded — the Balers defeated the Eagles 2-1 — a “freak” rain storm occurred, forcing Tuesday’s varsity game to be canceled, San Benito head coach Ramiro Ramos said.

No make-up date was announced.

The Balers will return to the field on Thursday when they will host Salinas at 3:30 p.m.
