Back-to-back wins over the Tracy Titans contributed two major pieces of the tournament-title puzzle and earned the Gilroy Chaos Blue U10 fastpitch softball team a championship at the Tracy Invitational earlier this month.

The Chaos and Titans met in the finals on April 3 when a big third inning spurred a 6-3 Chaos victory.

The Chaos are made up of players from both Hollister and Gilroy.

Noel Chavarria struck out three batters and was assisted in the field by her defense. Chavarria also scored the first run of the ball game in the opening frame.

The third inning escapades were kick-started by a leadoff single from Karissa Sotelo. Makenna Weiler, Rachel Reimal, Kylie Huddleston and Chavarria all scored in the inning. The Titans scored once in the second and twice in the third but could inch no closer.

The two teams met on Saturday, April 2, as well, and it took a come-from-behind effort from the Chaos to eke out a 10-9 decision.

Amanda Bombino delivered the go-ahead run with a base hit in the fourth. Toni Martinez, Amanda Moisa, Weiler, Chavarria and Ramirez all recorded hits while Aleah Jimenez and Evangeline Beltran kept a tidy defense in tact.
