A portion of the hillside above Southside Road (at Blossom Lane) has begun to slide down to the road.  It has encroached approximately two feet on to the road as of Wednesday, May 30.

In the interest of public safety, the County said it is closing this portion of Southside Road to traffic until further notice.

The County Resource Management Agency is working with technical experts in order to assess road conditions.
