Holiday Baseball Camp slated at SBHS
The Holiday Baseball Camp will be held from Dec. 20-23 at San
Benito High School for boys and girls ages 8- to 12-years-old
(Little League age as of 2009). Camp 1 will contain three sessions.
Session I is pitching and catching, and will take place from 9 to
9:50 a.m. Session II is infield, and will be held from 10 to 10:50
a.m.

The Holiday Baseball Camp will be held from Dec. 20-23 at San Benito High School for boys and girls ages 8- to 12-years-old (Little League age as of 2009). Camp 1 will contain three sessions. Session III is hitting, and is slated from 11 to 11:50 a.m. The cost is $55 per person or $150 for all three sessions. Last year’s camp sold out, so sign up early. Camp 2 will contain one and a half hours of skills and one hour of games. It will be held from 12:30 to 3 p.m. Cost is $100 for the four-day camp. Winter football clinic
HOLLISTER – A junior training camp is available to San Benito County students who are interested in football. The winter football clinic is open to students ages 6 to 15, and is $40 for registration. The clinic will be at Rancho San Justo School Dec. 27-29 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The clinic includes youth to college level instruction and is open to beginning or advanced players. It will include conditioning, agility and ball handling drills.
Registration is Sat., Dec. 13 at Rancho San Justo School from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., or Sunday, Dec. 14 at the Pizza Factory in San Juan Bautista from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. It is hosted by Cardinals Football and the coaching staff at Gavilan College. Registration includes a Focus training T-shirt, lunch and drinks, and free admission to the 49er youth training camp Jan. 22, 2009.

LL sign-ups upcoming in December
Registration for the 2009 Hollister Little League season will be held on Dec. 16 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 10 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Room 218 of the Veteran’s Memorial Building in downtown Hollister. The league is open to boys and girls ages 6 to 16, with levels of play ranging from T-ball through senior league. Registration forms will be available at the sign-ups. CC Barnstormers hold practice, tryouts
The Central Coast Barnstormers, a semi-pro football team of the Northern California Football League, is conducting practices and tryouts for the upcoming season on March 14. YMCA sign ups start
Open enrollment for YMCA’s elementary kickball program starts Dec. 15 for grades first through fifth. Super sports basketball signs ups start at the same time for 2 ½ to 5-year-olds. Other programs include outdoor hockey for sixth and eighth grades. All programs start in January.
