NOTES: After five games scoring just 14 points per contest, the Hollister offense exploded to key an exciting playoff win.
Myles Status rushed 13 times for 68 yards and three touchdowns and Cole Seymore carried the ball 14 times for 74 yards and a score. Cruz Raquet threw for 133 yards and two touchdowns. On defense, Savion Loza picked off a Mustang pass for an interception and Tripp Felice covered a fumble.
Balers now face 11-0 Carmel. The Padres average 45 points per game, while allowing 25.7.
Hollister Girls Flag Football (19-6 overall, 13-1 PCAL Gabilan Division)
NOTES: Season over. First-team PCAL Gabilan Division All-League offensive awards went to Jasayla Mariscal and Jayden Osborne.
Mariscal, who recently committed to Sacramento State for track, also won the “Best Offensive Player” award for the league. Second-team recognition went to Ava Garcia and Mia Martinez on offense.
First-team All-League defensive awards went to Bianca Guerra, Mia Briano and Jazlene Flores. Second-team recognition was awarded to Briella Perham, Lucy Grewohl and Hillary Santamaria.
The League Sportsmanship award went to Ixiim De Luna.
