SAN JOSE –– The San Jose Stealth, playing on the road for five games over the next four weeks, moved to 2-1 in National Lacrosse League play Friday with a 12-10 comeback win over the Philadelphia Wings in front of 6,052 fans at HP Pavilion.
San Jose (3-1) defeated the Anaheim Storm 8-7 in the first game of the trip on Sunday then will hit Arizona Friday to play the Sting. The next Stealth home game is Saturday Feb. 28 against the Sting.
San Jose fought back from a 9-7 deficit with 14:11 to play. Veteran forward Dan Teat registered four of his game-high five goals in the fourth quarter.
The turning point of the game came after Teat’s point-blank blast past Wings goaltender Dallas Eliuk made it 10-9.
Philadelphia’s Tom Marecheck whipped a shot at the edge of the San Jose crease that goalie Brandon Miller snagged at the 7:38 mark. The goalie then found Teat behind the Wings’ defense for a floor-length pass and Teat turned the assist into a move and goal against Eliuk for the clincher at 7:33.
