Following a holiday break, South Valley Symphony musicians will resume their rehearsal schedule Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in room AL 101 on the Gavilan College campus.

The symphony’s next concert will be presented Saturday, Feb. 8 at the Gavilan College Theater with performances at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and will be the annual Youth Concert featuring talented 14-year-old pianist Adler Ma, who is returning by popular demand following his performance last February with the orchestra. He will perform the Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 5, “The Emperor,” accompanied by the orchestra.

Tickets go on sale Jan. 15 at the California Music Company and Porcella’s Music, both in downtown Gilroy, and at Snappy Photo, 785 First Street in Gilroy. The Music Tree ln Morgan Hill, Terry’s House of Candles in San Juan Bautista and Dorothy McNett’s Place in Hollister will also have tickets available for purchase.

Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors age 55 and over and students ages 12-18 are $7.
