The San Benito High swim team picked up another win Friday, although the team was unable to clock any additional qualifying times for the Central Coast Section Championships.

The Baler boys easily defeated visiting Everett Alvarez 118-52, while the Baler girls did the same with a 127-42 win over the Eagles.

The previous week, San Benito posted similar results against Alisal, as the boys’ team topped the Trojans 137-39, while the girls picked up a 135-23 victory. But the Balers also collected a pair of CCS-qualifying times, too.

Czsarina Isleta earned her CCS time in the 100 back when she recorded a 1:04.70, while the girls’ 400 free relay team of Isleta, Caitlin Schafer, Haley Larson and Katarina Ortiz followed suit with a CCS-qualifying time of 3:58.10.

San Benito has just two meets remaining prior to the Tri-County Athletic League Championships, and only one league meet left, as the Balers will travel south to take on Salinas this Thursday (diving) and Friday (swimming).

Meet time is 3:30 p.m. on both days.

Notes:

In a non-league meet on March 30, the San Benito boys defeated Christopher High 130-27, while the girls won 131-25.
