I have been living in Hollister for almost 15 years now and my line of work was such that I was able to work with a lot of businesses – not only downtown but all over the county. Can someone tell me why one of the big complaints is how downtown is dying? Well let me tell you, it is just about dead.
When is enough going to be enough? Get off your butts and solve the sewer problem so we are attractive to new business coming to Hollister and make it more attractive for new and existing business to realize the opportunity that we have to offer. I have several friends in the business community and most are thriving, but some aren’t. The casino would have brought jobs and money to our county, but we missed the boat. A new hotel in Tres Pinos would do the same. I say let’s do it!
Time after time I hear complaints about how our government does not take in enough money or can’t afford improvements – well take off the blinders and open our city and county up to new opportunity.
I only wish that someday I have the time to run for office so I can serve the community and get this show on the road! Anyone interested in supporting me financially so I can shake this county up, just ask around town as I am well known in most restaurants and bars in the greater Hollister area!
