season on Tuesday when it silenced visiting Alisal 7-0 at the
Ridgemark Golf and Country Club in Hollister.

The San Benito girls tennis team picked up its second win of the season on Tuesday when it silenced visiting Alisal 7-0 at the Ridgemark Golf and Country Club in Hollister.

The closest match came in No. 3 doubles, where San Benito’s Anne Tobias and Gianna Brigantino defeated Yesenia Lopez and Jessica Guriguez 7-6, 6-3.

The remainder of the matches, though, were all comfortably in San Benito’s favor. In fact, the Balers won 72 of the 87 sets played on Tuesday.

In singles, No. 1 Hayley Barker won 6-0, 6-0 against Nubia Picazo; No. 2 Kristina Slavich defeated Lizette Rosales 6-0, 6-1; No. 3 Audrey Marshall topped Marvie Larazano 6-0, 6-0; and No. 4 Kelsey Slavich beat Jennifer Camacho 6-4, 6-2.

At No. 1 doubles, Erin Glasspool and Alex Triolo defeated Carla Guillen and Jennifer Silva 6-1, 6-1, while Alex Garcia and Olivia Diaz won their match 6-4, 6-2 over Karina Gonzalez and Jeanette Gallaga at No. 2 doubles.

San Benito is now 2-3 overall on the season.

The Balers will return to action today, Wednesday, when they will travel to Gilroy to take on Christopher High at 4 p.m. San Benito will also host Alvarez at Ridgemark Thursday at 4 p.m.
