Fall test drive fundraiser slated for Sept. 26 at SBHS
Tiffany Ford will be hosting a fall “Drive One 4 UR School” event at San Benito High School Saturday, Sept. 26, in the main parking lot near the football stadium.
According to Bob Tiffany, Ford Motor Company allows the dealers to hold two test drive fundraisers a year, one in the spring/summer and one in the fall, where they donate $20 per test drive, for up to 300 test drives. The dealership offers an additional $100 if any of the test drives lead to the purchase of a Ford vehicle within 45 days of the event.
In July, 121 people turned out for a test drive, and three people purchased a Ford within 45 days of the event, netting a $2,720 donation for San Benito High School.
Tiffany and John Sanchez, from the sales department, presented two checks to Katie Thorpe, the Associated Student Body president at San Benito High School.
“We are hoping that this one will be even more successful since it’s during the school year and will be held at the main lot next to the football field,” Tiffany, wrote in an e-mail. “Our goal will be 300 test drives, or as close to that number as possible.”
The dealership will again offer $20 per test drive, up to 300 test drives, and the $100 incentive for anyone who buys a car within 45 days of the event.
