Are your scores during a round highest on the first few holes?

This usually happens to the player who arrives late for tee time or has a less than ideal practice routine.

If your first few holes aren’t what you would like, try to always hit your last 10 balls on the range with the clubs you will likely use on the first three holes.

Make sure to hit these balls with the clubs you will be using in order of play.

For example, if the first hole is a 350-yard par 4, hit your driver, then whatever club you use for your second shot. Just in case you are off the green, you may want to simulate the wedge shot that you may be forced to hit.

Make sure you hit as many practice putts as you hit range balls. The scoring takes place with your putter.
