Hollister – A 46-year-old Hollister woman was allegedly sexually assaulted by three white males in the area of 351 Tres Pinos Road on Saturday evening while walking her dog, police said.

The woman was in the Fortino’s Total Home Furnishings parking lot, behind the building with her dog when three males approached her and tried to rob her of a ring on her finger sometime between 5pm and 7pm, said Detective Sgt. James Weathers.

“It didn’t work, so they allegedly sexually assaulted her,” he said.

Weathers wouldn’t comment on what the assailants did to the woman.

Police have a rough idea of who the suspects are and will put together a photo line-up of possible suspects to see if the victim can identify any of them, Weathers said.

The woman suffered minor abrasions on her finger from where the men tried to take her ring off, and injuries related to the sexual assault, Weathers said.

She was taken to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center where a sexual assault test was performed, Weathers said.

Anyone with information about the incident can contact the Hollister Police Department at (831) 636-4330.
