San Benito County residents might experience the first rain storm of the season, and it could be a loud one.
The National Weather Service is reporting there is a slight chance of thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon through Thursday.
Forecasters are predicting a 20 percent chance for precipitation in the Hollister area Wednesday afternoon and night, along with a 20 percent chance for precipitation Thursday.

This afternoon: A slight chance of thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 86. West wind 9 to 14 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Tonight: A slight chance of thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 59. West northwest wind 9 to 14 mph becoming light and variable in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Thursday: A slight chance of thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 83. Light northwest wind becoming west 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Thursday: Night Patchy fog after 11pm. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 55. West southwest wind 5 to 8 mph becoming calm in the evening.
Friday: Patchy fog before 11am. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 84. Calm wind becoming west 5 to 9 mph in the afternoon.
