Hwy. 25 accident slows morning commute.

Editor,

I beg to differ with the report of the accident at Highway 25 and 156 on Wednesday morning, “Hwy. 25 accident slows morning commute.” When I came on this accident at approximately 7am, traffic was being directed east on 156 towards Los Banos or west towards San Juan Bautista by the sheriff’s department. Traffic was not being allowed to cross 156 at 25 as Calstar was landed on that stretch of road. Highway 25 northbound was closed. Traffic east on 156 was gridlock, people were turning around and trying to go through San Juan. It took me an hour and 25 minutes to get out of Hollister and I was two and a half hours late for work.

While I am very glad the injuries were not serious, it did cause a major traffic problem.
