Testing out the singles event scene

A close friend of mine - who is newly single - recently joined the online dating site Match.com in an attempt to get into the scene and perhaps meet a man she’s compatible with. It seems like once a week she calls or texts me that she’s had a date - meeting nice enough men, but not “the one.”

When I say he died unexpectedly, I mean suddenly; Jerry had serious health problems, perhaps more than most people his age, but the worst appeared to be behind him. Unlike long illnesses, if you see someone walking around you don't expect that they will gone just a few days later, but that is often the way it happens.
