Councilwoman Pauline Valdivia will not seek a fifth term in office, she announced Monday night.
Valdivia made the announcement during the regular council meeting. The District 3 councilwoman will finish serving her 16th year in December.
“When my term is over, it will be 16 years – 16 challenging years,” she said.
Valdivia thanked her colleagues and the community in making her announcement during the segment of the meeting where council members give reports on various matters. She said she planned to share more when she leaves the council after the November election.
