Dear Editor:

I loved the voice of the anonymous citizen who cried foul over the recall election, blaming it on money grabbing Republicans.

Yup! The call stinks! And, guess what? I am a Republican.

I believe that if the parties of all those who signed a recall petition were posted, there would be a good showing of Democrats on the list.

California is a strange state. It is full of people who think they have the right to, and know the right way to make the state over in their best interest. I don’t care what party you belong to, we had an election, (Gov. Gray) Davis won. That’s it!

Those who voted for him have to live with him; those who voted for some other candidate have to live with the choice of the majority. That’s the way it is folks.

This is a system that works, and unless you want to set a dangerous precedent for the future, I urge you to vote “no” for the recall when you go to the polls.

By the way, do you really think that Governor Davis, all by himself, put this state in the economic situation it’s in? If you do, I suggest you do some homework and find out how state government really works.
