Our beloved Wanda Ann Snyder passed peacefully on November 2nd, 2016 at the age of 65 with her husband and close family by her side.

Wanda was born in Rochester, NY and has resided in Morgan Hill, CA since January of 2000. Throughout her full life, she also called Boulder CO, San Francisco, Sausalito, Los Angeles, Pasadena, Santa Barbara, Sacramento CA, and Albany, NY her home. In all these places Wanda made many wonderful friends. In the 1970’s Wanda graduated from Colorado University Boulder with a BA in English. In Boulder she met and married her first husband and former English professor Glenn. Tragically, while driving up the mountains to pick Wanda up from her violin practice, Glenn and their infant child John died from a car accident on that windy road. Wanda never played the violin again.Wanda then moved to San Francisco and obtained her nursing degree so that she could care for those in need. Wanda was a well-respected nurse, with vast experience – from Neurosurgery, to Pediatrics, to Geriatrics, to Clinic Management, and finally Utilization Management. Additionally, Wanda had a successful stint in retail sales at Nordstrom in CA and Lord & Taylor in NY. No doubt, Wanda’s impeccable fashion sense, along with her sincerity, intelligence, caring, attentive and understanding nature aided in her outstanding careers. On Thanksgiving Day, 1991, Wanda attended an “Orphans and Misfits Faux Pas Fest” in the back yard of a friend and former roommate in Santa Barbara. There Wanda met her second husband Marc C. Bush, and the two immediately developed a deep and lasting romance. The two wedded on July 3rd, 1993 at the very same friend’s home where Wanda and Marc had met. They continued as devoted spouses for over twenty-three years.Wanda’s wanderlust found fast friends wherever she went. Her extensive family and friends can attest to her supremely thoughtful gift giving skills. Her favorite gift to receive, however, was not material. She preferred a poem, and saved all the cards, notes and letters in with her keepsakes of playbills, special tickets and favorite photos.Wanda passed two years to the day after her youngest brother John’s funeral in Canandaigua, NY. Wanda is survived by her younger brother Harry, along with several nieces and nephews, her husband Marc Bush and their two kittens, Lady Chamomile and Earl Grey. Wanda will be remembered by her gregarious charm, strong opinions, humor, sincerity, trustworthiness, and her intoxicating joie de vivre.Services will be held at the Old Mission at San Juan Bautista on Saturday November 19th beginning at 11:00 AM, followed by a celebration of Wanda’s life at 88 Keys Café in Morgan Hill at 4:00 PM.In lieu of flowers, please donate to the National Park Service, where Wanda had just purchased her lifetime senior pass. Or better yet, write Wanda a poem, song, or learn a piece from the Laura Nyro Songbook.Arrangements under the care and direction of LIMA-CAMPAGNA-JOHNSON FUNERAL HOME, Morgan Hill.
