Dear Editor,

Thumbs Up for President Bush’s $2.6 trillion budget proposal where it ends high speed rail programs like ultra-wasteful Bullet Train and Amtrak’s subsidies. Sovietization of transport in America has helped place a debt burden on our children and grandchildren that will crush hope in their generations and subsequent ones, all because we do not have elected representatives willing to halt Boondoggles Empty Seat Transporters Association and BESTA’s Marxist-Leninist public-transit advocates.

Thumbs Down to his proposal to end Federal Railroad Administration’s Railroad Rehabilitation and Improvement Financing program. Unlike the socialist-style subsidies for Amtrak and Bullet Train RRIF acts like Small Business Administration loans to improve rail-oriented transportation infrastructure improvement. RRIF loans are repaid with interest. Future generations will thank us for growing private-sector transport, and ending BESTA’s rule of terror under Emperor Transit First.

Now, will Congress reverse course at long last, or will they keep pouring Rev. Jim Jones Kool-Aide to believers in the False God of Socialism? Our children’s fate now hinges on which way our Congress votes – will they side with Adam Smith, or Karl Marx? Caveat Viator!
